Jerry DeWitt, veterans outreach at Tri-County Mental Health Services, right, gathered Tuesday morning with veterans and a few dozen people who were assembled in Veterans Memorial Park in Lewiston for the latest bench dedication ceremony. The bench is in honor of the Destroyer Escort Sailors Association and features a picture of the USS Slater DE-766, a decommissioned destroyer escort that is now a museum on the Hudson River in Albany, New York.
