Stephan Carnahan’s letter of Feb. 23 decrying easy access to weapons put it just right: “It should have been a fistfight.”

I would put it with equal simplicity: Put unlimited high-calorie food on the table and people will get fat. Put unlimited high-caliber guns on the table and people will get killed.
