THOMASTON – The wedding of Anna Judith Carney and Kenneth B. Moorman was held at 3 p.m. on Sept. 3 at St. James Church in Thomaston. Deacon Frank Semancik officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Moorman is the daughter of James and Ruth Carney II of Thomaston. Mr. Moorman is the son of Daniel and Lynn Reynolds of Oxford.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a satin ivory gown with beading and chapel length train. She carried a bouquet of red roses.

A friend of the bride, Gretel Stone, served as maid of honor, and bridesmaids were Christine Prusch and Kelly Flanagan, friends of the bride, and Mallory Simms, cousin of the bride.

A friend of the bridegroom, Tom Niejadlik, served as best man, and ushers were James Carney III, brother of the bride, Bradley Baker, friend of the bridegroom, and Matthew Moorman, brother of the bridegroom.

A reception followed at the Carney residence, after which the couple went on a rafting trip in the Forks and also traveled to Quebec City. They are residing in Scarborough.

The bride received a bachelor’s degree in sociology from the University of Southern Maine and is employed at Pine Tree Mortgage in Freeport.

The bridegroom is a graduate of Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School and is employed as Internet manager at Portland Volvo in Scarborough.
