Albert Deschaine, 36, of Peru was traveling north in his 2007 Chevrolet pickup truck when he hydroplaned into oncoming traffic, colliding with a 2022 Toyota SUV driven by James Halliday, 78, of Auburn. Both remain hospitalized, Halliday in critical condition.
