‘Animal contact’ blamed for power outage in five towns
LEWISTON — About 1,339 Central Maine Power customers in Hebron, Mechanic Falls, Minot, Turner and Buckfield lost power for about one hour Monday. The outage occurred about 12:20 p.m. and ended just before 1:30 p.m, CMP spokeswoman Gail Rice said. “Animal contact” was the cause of the outage, she said.
