PORTLAND – Elaine Catherine Gammon and Augustus Leon Moss Jr. were married on Aug. 7 at Fort Allen Park in the gazebo in Portland. A dinner reception immediate followed at the Thomas Room in South Portland.
The bride is the daughter of Richard and Rita Gammon of Auburn. The bridegroom is the son of Cora Lawrence of Westland, Mich., and Augustus Leon Moss Sr. of Inkster, Mich.
The ceremony was performed by Patricia Murphy, notary. The maid of honor was Julie Mazur and the best man was Sanjay Mody.
The bride attended Edward Little High School, the University of Southern Maine and Central Maine Community College. She is employed as a marketing director at the Tangent Group.
The bridegroom attended Mecklenberg Military Academy, Baker College and the University of Detroit Mercy. He is currently enrolled as a medical student at St. Matthew’s University School of Medicine and is completing his third year of clinical rotations in Barnsley, England.
The couple is residing in Portland.
