Bettyann Sheats is a candidate for Maine Senate who has always taken an interest in education.
When her children were at Fairview Elementary in Auburn, Bettyann was a parent volunteer on the PTO for numerous years. She will listen to our educators and parents alike, because her practice is to build consensus.
When Bettyann sat in the Maine House she helped with legislation that expanded the trade schools and apprenticeships, and she provided a path for experts in a field to become teachers.
Furthermore, she supported restoring the state portion of education to the 55% level we have now.
As a teacher myself, Bettyann Sheats is the kind of candidate I want to see in Maine’s Senate.
