Canton resident Doug Culver, a native of Oregon, held his WW II D-Day presentation "What they Carried on D-Day" at the Canton Historical Society on Thursday evening. He started his collection of WW II artifacts when he was in high school, about 50 years ago.

Canton board accepts wood harvesting contract, makes plans to sell Village Ridge land
Selectmen accepted a one-year wood harvesting contract from Woodland Investment Services of Jay and plan to seek bids from realtors to sell the Village Ridge property established about 10 years ago to replace homes lost when the village flooded in 2003.
