Regional School Unit 9 follows federal law for alcohol and drug testing bus drivers with commercial licenses. But Maine's laws allowing recreational and medical marijuana use cloud the practice of testing district employees who may use personal vehicles for field trips and competitive events.

Business Manager Kris Pottle presented the 5-year plan to pay down the expense in a previous meeting but had been directed to work on additional scenarios: two plans that would pay off the expense in one year and two plans that would take three years.
