Matthew Daigle is a court reporter at the Norway bureau of the Sun Journal and has worked for the company for more than six years. He covers the courts, Oxford County government, and the towns of Norway, Paris and Otisfield. He lives in Greene with his fiance, his two Siamese cats and his 13-year old chihuahua. In his spare time, he likes to read, watch movies and listen to podcasts about the television show “Survivor.” He is a graduate of the University of Maine at Farmington and earned a bachelor’s degree in Creative Writing.

‘More beers, more breweries’: 6th annual Great Falls Brewfest a success
The 6th annual Great Falls Brewfest brought in more than 2,000 people Saturday afternoon at Simard-Payne Memorial Park in Lewiston, where Director Adam Platz said 50 breweries were offering more than 150 kinds of beer.

Auburn turnpike exit closing Sunday night for paving
AUBURN — The northbound off-ramp at Exit 75 of the Maine Turnpike in Auburn will be closed from 8 p.m. Sunday to 6 a.m. Monday to complete milling and paving, according to Maine Turnpike Authority spokeswoman Erin Courtney. If it rains Sunday night, the work will be rescheduled to Monday night, she said.
