Magda Nemlich: Reasons to support Biden
The following is why I will vote for Vice President Biden. He will expand the Affordable Care Act, not end it. He will end the divisiveness in Washington to make Congress pass laws again, and make the government workable. He will reestablish our commitments to our allies in Europe to make us the leader of […]

Suzette Moulton: Keep Fay working for Maine
Jessica Fay is a strong leader for House District 66, and it is my hope that she will continue to represent me in Augusta. Her work on the environmental committee to eliminate “forever chemicals” in our food packaging is one of the many ways she shows her dedication to keeping the Maine environment healthy for […]

Timothy McFadden: Bishop should challenge COVID-19 restrictions
According to The Becket Fund for Religious Liberty, Maine is one of only six states to impose restrictions on religious worship that are more onerous than other restrictions touching upon our lives due to the COVID pandemic. Gov. Mills is, of course, to blame for the imposition of this draconian, and unconstitutional order. Still, my […]

Cal Thomas: Debate No. 1: Advantage none
I had initially thought of Tuesday night’s first presidential debate as the equivalent of a heavyweight boxing match, something like the classic fights between Joe Frazier and Muhammad Ali in the 1970s. Instead it was less a “Thrilla in Manila” or a “Rumble in the Jungle” and more like a phony professional wrestling match. Let’s […]

Donald Prince: Trump suggested revolt at debate
Donald Trump would not allow a debate to occur Sept. 29. He was pushy, bombastic, and inconsiderate. In other words, typical Trump. I expected that much, but when he refused to condemn racist groups and told the Proud Boys to “Stand back and stand by” he was suggesting revolt. His obvious intent to ignore the […]
